“Better is a little with righteousness.” Learning to lean and depend upon God isn’t as easy as it sounds, but God positions us, whether we like it or not. In the past 10 months, navigating a tsunami of grief, I’ve often lacked the clarity or the bandwidth to always be on top of everything. For 31 years I had a partner…we did things together, made decisions together, we were a team. What I always had, was prevenient grace.
Simply explained, common grace refers to God’s general blessings upon all of us, while I have experienced Prevenient Grace as specific and enabling, the times when messages come specifically to you, in ways that are clearly Divine, like the whole world stops, and only you can see or hear. For someone unaccustomed to God’s Presence in your life, coincidence is famously described as God remaining anonymous.
