Morning Devotional 11.8.2025

“He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that, having died to sins, we might live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2‬:‭24‬ ‭NRSVUE‬‬

First in Isaiah, and here in 1 Peter, we are reminded that Christ suffered that we might live healed and free. We are so dearly loved. Let us practice and demonstrate that love for each other. No matter what the calendar says , this is Thanksgiving , where we survive , repeatedly , challenges we were certain would overtake us. Things could always be worse , but do often, that was NOT God’s Plan. Each day, we hold cups that overflow. Lord, let our healing make space for joy. Not just for us, but for everyone around us.
Let this be our prayer.
