Sabbath rest. This is so much more than just a day off. Sabbath-rest, or Sabbatismos is a Greek term emphasizing โperpetual, spiritual rest rather than just a traditional, physical day off. This is more than a day. We are admonished to @make every effort to enter that rest, appreciating that we are perpetually held.
What does this look and feel like?
Quieting the noise in your head, and slowing your respiration.
Breathing deeply.
Maybe it means putting your hand on your heart, reminding yourself that you donโt make it beat, and pausing to feel it and offer thanks.
