Friends. Blasphemy by way of artistic rendering is terrible and must be clearly denounced.
But blasphemy by way of dehumanizing and damaging our fellow humans and the image of God they inherently possess, in the name of God, is a far, far greater evil.
We absolutely must ask ourselves: What and who do we actually worship? What does the object of our worship demand of us? Are we willing to pay it?
