Morning Devotional 5.4.26

Lessons Learned by my Other Downward Facing Dog

“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Obu was insistent this morning. He interrupted my morning writing ( I’m working on a novel), because he wanted to go on a walk. So out we went.
After our walk, he went and got his frisbee, led me to the back door, and then we played. Hard.
When you know what you want, and you know that you’re loved, there is a freedom surpassing all understanding. Allow yourself to be restored. Allow yourself to be made strong, firm, and steadfast because it is your destiny.
And resting, knowing you are held, and dearly beloved?
Priceless. (Yes, he snores. Loudly.)
Thanks be to God
