Let’s talk about church friends. They’re not just people with whom I fellowship; they are my people. I have a church bestie, in her 90s, about whom I am always concerned, whether we’re sitting across the aisle, or when I’m planning vacations where I’ll be out of pocket for Sunday worship.
They are my community. We laugh together, weep together, doing all the parts of life in fellowship.
It’s not where we gather, but rather that we gather in Christ’s Name. As the old hymn declares,
“What a Fellowship!”
