โ€œOne who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.โ€

Gratitude Post Aheadโ€ฆ
I donโ€™t have friends; I have family. I have been blessed, throughout my life, with people who walked (or danced) into my life and stayed.
I remember a niece of mine saying, just before turning 30, that sheโ€™d just discovered that we were NOT related by blood (it changed nothing).
I have two sisters. I am the only daughter born to my family, but everyone acknowledges my two younger sisters; one a friend of 40+ years, and the other, with whom I will celebrate 20 years of kinship this fall.
Weโ€™ve laughed together, wept together, danced and raged. Nothing will separate us from God or from one another.
Yeah, we pray together. FIERCELY.

Loving God, thank You for for those bringing comfort and joy to my life. Guide me as a good and faithful friend to those lifting me up, share kindness, and walk with me through all things. Teach me to listen well, to speak with gentleness, to forgive quickly, and to love without condition. May our friendships bring peace and joy to each another.

Amen.
