Morning Devotional 8.21.26

โ€œDo not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.โ€
โ€ญโ€ญMatthewโ€ฌ โ€ญ6โ€ฌ:โ€ญ19โ€ฌ-โ€ญ21โ€ฌ โ€ญNIVโ€ฌโ€ฌ

Where is your treasure? What is it, and what would you do to protect it? Christ admonishes us to not make physical wealth and material things the main goal of our lives, because everything, EVERYTHING on earth is temporary and easily lost.

I remember a sermon where the pastor reminded us all to hold it all loosely.
I cannot say that Iโ€™ve always complied, but when you see yourself as a steward rather than an owner, your perspective changes immediately.
Today, I challenge to let one thing go today; a position, a relationship that does not serve you, something standing between you and your joy. I promise that youโ€™ll feel lighter, and instantly more free.
Go forth.
