Morning Devotional

โ€œLet the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.โ€
โ€ญโ€ญPsalmsโ€ฌ โ€ญ143โ€ฌ:โ€ญ8โ€ฌ โ€ญNIVโ€ฌโ€ฌ

Yesterday was A LOT. All my life I have managed whatever comes my way. Itโ€™s a mistake. I learned to practice low-maintenance and accommodation in order to earn love and praise, never asking for much. I never imaginedโ€œunfailing love,โ€ but God.
When I reached the end of my capacity yesterday, God was there. At my point of shattering beyond repair, God appeared. Like God always does.

Paraphrasing one of my favorite prayers,
โ€œWe do not presume to come to You, O merciful Lord, trusting in our own righteousness, but in your abundant and great mercies.
We are not worthy so much as to gather up
the crumbs under Your table;
but you are the same Lord whose character is always to have mercy.
Grant therefore, gracious Lord, that we may evermore dwell in You, and You in us. Amen.โ€

Trust God, particularly when it seems most unlikely.
Thatโ€™s the tea.
Thanks be to God.
