Why We Need Sabbath

“Life will continue to be a rush, and we will face storms and obstacles, but we need not let the outward circumstances dictate our inner peace. As long as we stay heart connected to God’s word his peace will surround us.”

“If God be our God, He will give us peace in trouble. When there is a storm without, He will make peace within. The world can create trouble in peace, but God can create peace in trouble.” Thomas Watson

Stop rushing through life. It’s time for rest. It’s time to restore peace.

How’s It Going?

It’s not that my routine has changed, but rather my approach to it has. There is a gentleness with which I am treating myself.

I Am Consistently Mindful.

Not only on Sabbath, but daily, I slow down when I’m tired. I’m learning new rhythms. I’m setting new expectations, and they extend beyond me.

Listen to your spirit. She knows what she needs.

And Finally…

May the power of God keep you always in awe. May the hope of Christ keep you ever at peace. May the presence of the Holy Spirit keep you ever aware. And the blessing of our one God, creator redeemer, and sustainer be with you now and
always.

Amen.
