I’ve Never Been One to Write My Prayers

Odd, because I’m a writer. I write to discover the way I feel. Writing helps me see; words lighting my way.
I felt called to see differently in order to widen my frame. So, when the lectionary pointed me to James 4, ” we have not because we ask not,” I got it.
The very next day, I started writing my prayers…and in fact, I do see differently. This is soaking prayer. This is praying continually, where there are pauses, but no periods.
Because I am paying attention, I am stilled enough to watch as God moves.
And It is Beautiful.
Amen.
