Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.
Proverbs 3:5-8 NIV
When I committed to getting out of my own & God’s Way, I had to remember that wherever I go, God is there.
That requires an enormous leap of faith for me. I have deep faith, but also an infatuation with data. I am a validator.
“Do Not Be Wise in Your Own Eyes”
Are You sure, God? I want to be still and watch, but it’s not the best use of my talents, in my humble opinion…
Watchers are Static.
At my best, I am a warrior poised to strike. Yet, You told me to watch You. You did not tell me where to look, but rather to remain watchful. Always. No matter where I am. And to be still.
No Matter Where I Wandered…You Were There…Waiting for Me to See You.
Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me.
Psalms 139:7-10 NKJV
Messages from You have come from some unlikely places. Music I haven’t heard in a while.
A scripture I read on a calendar page this weekend. A calendar page that was nine months old…
A Facebook memory, a single line from a sermon, preached 12 months ago…
“God has a crush on you…”
Rev. John Mennell
There’s more, but you’ll have to wait…and watch God move
