Morning Devotional 7.1.26

“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭12‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Have you ever heard of Chunking? Chunking is a cognitive strategy used to boost short-term memory by grouping individual pieces of information into larger, meaningful units, since working memory can only hold about 4 to 7 items at once.
Remember how you learned the alphabet? Other examples include phone numbers, acronyms, and acrostics. I find it easy to think in threes.

Here’s one…

  1. Rejoice in hope (Often. Regularly.)
  2. Be patient in tribulation (trouble don’t last always, as says the old spiritual)
  3. Pray without ceasing (be constant)

Simple, right? Wash, rinse, repeat (see what I did there?)
